Heartbeat of the city.
Rooted in history, Legacy Pines rises from the soil of one of Tallahassee’s oldest African American communities. The nearly 10-acre site is a tribute to Henry Macon, Sr.—a freedman who purchased 320 acres in the late 1800s to build a safe, thriving homeplace for formerly enslaved families. Today, Legacy Pines continues that vision: generational dignity through land, legacy, and ownership.
